Another successful covid-19 Vaccine Clinic

Community partners and The Highlands-Cashiers Plateau Covid-19 Vaccination Initiative hosted a 4th Vaccine Clinic on Sunday and together we served more than 140 of our Latino neighbors.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and especially our Spanish-speaking volunteers who served in dozens of clinical and non-clinical roles. Thank you Old Edwards Inn & Spa for our ongoing use of their beautiful events venue, to Tom Neal, Highlands-Cashiers Hospital CEO, and to our collaborative partners: the Community Care Clinic of Highlands-Cashiers, Salud Comunitaria Vecinos, and the International Friendship Center/El Centro de Amigos. A special thank you to pharmacists Sherry Sims and Tom Cox for their hard work and uncanny ability to draw extra doses out of Moderna vials. Thank you Mary Beth Brody and her friends for the wonderful baked treats for our volunteers!
