board member spotlight: tina rogers
I joined the IFC four years ago. I became involved through volunteering at the Food Pantry. At that time me, my mother, and my daughter all volunteered. We were featured in the Laurel Magazine as three generations volunteering at the pantry. During that time there were issues between the food pantry and the board, so a group of us started a committee of food pantry volunteers to bring our issues to the board. As a result of this committee I was then asked to join the board, and I did.
I have loved serving in many capacities on the Board. I have a passion for helping people and this organization does just that, help people. We have so many wonderful projects underway right now and I am so proud to be a part of it. I feel proud to be part of the wonderful people past and present who have served on the Board. We have been able to do a lot of good things, and continue to. I look forward to my remaining 2 years on the Board.
